Ive been getting a lot of “Japan is racist” or America is blah blah blah. I don’t want to answer any more. This blog isnt about politics or social issues.

Anonymous asked: I like how americans say japan is racist while america is one of the most racist countries on earth. American people are offended by everyone and everything.

Everywhere can be racist. Everywhere can be peaceful.

Anonymous asked: I do live in Japan, and that's why I said, in terms of racism Japan is on par with the rest of the world with racism. It's not really any better, as I do live there and know (yes, in the city, like I said). Maybe you don't notice it because you're haafu yourself. I mean after all the word 'gaijin' itself is pretty insulting i prefer 'gaikokujin' since 'gaijin' means outsider. Some people might not be intentionally racist, but it doesn't excuse racist actions

To me, Gaijin isn’t really offensive. I’ll call people what they prefer but Gaijikokujin just means “outside country person” and Gaijin just is shorter. Hardly any difference.

It’s a bit odd don’t you think when people call themselves gaijin especially when they’re on the internet and not in Japan.

Anonymous asked: Japan is pretty xenophobic and racist. Like the fact you can see blackface on tv, the nasty looking goliwogs on shelves, the 'gaijin/white people nose', the apartments/stores/bars that say 'no foreigners'. And yes, it happens in the major cities. It's kinda sad that people try to brush Japan over as a wonderful utopia, when it's on par with pretty much everywhere in the world when it comes to racism (not good).

Racism happens everywhere in Japan but a lot less in bigger cities where most non-Japanese are anyway. It’s not a wonderful utopia. But it’s not more racist than America. Not at all more. A few years ago there was blackface controversy in Australia on TV. Not to mention all the racist stereotype America implements on TV shows even Disney. The “no foreigner” bars and onsen I’ve seen only in the country side. We Japanese have an extremely low self identy as well. “White people nose”? Most Japanese want to look like white people, and we admire their noses as well. So before you go and attack Japan which can be racist look at America and a ton of other countries. Japan is no better or worse than America when it comes racism. Just because people stare at a foreigner isn’t racism. It’s curiosity. Have you even been to Japan anon or is this just stuff you read online?

honeymomochan asked: hi! okay so, i 'm really frustrated rn ヽ(´o`; ~ i really want to change my 'idol' name to ♡momouto♡ because its cute and clever! *and i 'm a brocon anyway (○´・ω・`)ノ * friend of mine made it up but i love it so much. but i 'm not really happy w/ my current 'name' Honey Momo. it was just for my duo group but tht ended .. didn't think that name would stick! but it did and i think it 's rather risky to change now since so many ppl know me as 'Honey' Momo 。・゜・(ノД`)・゜・。

Hm, I guess Momouto is a cute nick name! Maybe just push it in people’s faces haha. Like say My name is Momo but you can call me Momouto. Like YukaPon’s username is Nyappychocochan. People know her by that and Yuka.

It’s really weird how much on netidol or anime community blogs lately on “my ____ lives in Japan and says…” or “I went to Japan and ____” and they say something completely different than my experience. Maybe being half Japanese, I just experienced or saw things different?

To the last poster/ Britney Spears was an “idol”

Britney Spears, in my views, was basically an idol in her younger years in Japan. I’ve seen interviews of her there while she was a teenager and tons of wota just in the crowd. They were asking her questions and treating her like they would treat any other idol. She hadso muchpopularity in Japan. It was crazy. This is before the kids and K-Fed drama. I’ll post some videos, and see if I can find the wota one.

Japan can and is racist at times. I’m being truthful. But girls, no matter what race they are, can be cute. That’s all Japanese really like.
